Jump to Top Children's Grief WorkshopCategory: Calendar of Events | Permalink Published: Tuesday, May 04, 2010 Hospice of the Valleys will be offering a children's grief workshop on Saturday, May 22, 2010 from 8:30am to 1:00pm. Children ages 6 through 12 and their parents/guardians, who have experienced the death of a loved one in the last two years, are invited to attend. Children will explore ways of coping with loss through arts & crafts, stories and play. Parents/guardians will meet separately to share ways of helping children work through their grief. The workshop is free of charge and made possible through the City of Temecula's Community Service Funding Award. Over 130 attendees gathered at Wilson Creek for dinner, to listen to honored speakers talk about Scott's most admired qualities and to enjoy the company of so many who loved Scott. Attendees especially enjoyed music at the end of the evening which was Scott's personal iPod playlist. Jump to Top HOV Offers New Teen Scholarship OpportunityCategory: Calendar of Events | Permalink Published: Friday, March 19, 2010 Hospice of the Valleys (HOV) is excited to announce a new teen scholarship program for active HOV teen volunteers. All teen volunteers will have the opportunity to compete for a $1000 scholarship by their active participation in our volunteer program. The requirements include completing a minimum of 50 hours of service between May 1, 2010 and April 30, 2011 and submitting a written essay. The winner will be announced no later than June 17, 2011.
