Gain an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the hospice philosophy and concept of care. Hospice always has the need for volunteers in patient care, bereavement, office, sewing projects, and fundraising.  The community is invited to attend to gain knowledge about hospice services without committing to volunteer.

Where Do I Turn? Educational Series

"Where Do I Turn?" is an educational series to help those caring for aging loved ones.  Classes will be held from 11:00am to 12:30pm on four consecutive Tuesdays in August at the Sun City Library.  The library is located at 26982 Cherry Hills Blvd, Sun City.

14th Annual 'A Day of Wine & Chocolate'

The 14th annual 'A Day of Wine & Chocolate' returns Sunday, September 26, 2010 from 4pm to 8pm and will be held at Wilson Creek Winery in the beautiful Temecula Wine Country. 

We are looking forward to another exciting event which will include the local wineries you know and love as well as some of the Valley's newest additions. And to sweeten the day, the finest chocolatiers and pastry chefs will be tempting your taste buds! In addition to sipping delicious wines and tasting decadent confections, we will set the mood for the day with captivating live music, and activities to include: chef demonstration by Executive Chef Steve Stawinski, instruction on food & wine pairing, and a lesson on the basics of wine making.

What can go wrong when you mix wine, chocolate, and entertainment in a beautiful venue...and all for a good cause? This event is not to miss!

Children's Grief Workshop

Hospice of the Valleys will be offering a children's grief workshop on Saturday, May 22, 2010 from 8:30am to 1:00pm.  Children ages 6 through 12 and their parents/guardians, who have experienced the death of a loved one in the last two years, are invited to attend.  Children will explore ways of coping with loss through arts & crafts, stories and play.  Parents/guardians will meet separately to share ways of helping children work through their grief.   The workshop is free of charge and made possible through the City of Temecula's Community Service Funding Award. Scott Crane Inspiration Gala a Success!

Hospice of the Valleys held a gala Sunday, April 11th in celebration of Scott Crane's immeasurable contributions to our community. Over 130 attendees gathered at Wilson Creek for dinner, to listen to honored speakers talk about Scott's most admired qualities and to enjoy the company of so many who loved Scott. Attendees especially enjoyed music at the end of the evening which was Scott's personal iPod playlist.

HOV Offers New Teen Scholarship Opportunity

Hospice of the Valleys (HOV) is excited to announce a new teen scholarship program for active HOV teen volunteers.  All teen volunteers will have the opportunity to compete for a $1000 scholarship by their active participation in our volunteer program. The requirements include completing a minimum of 50 hours of service between May 1, 2010 and April 30, 2011 and submitting a written essay. The winner will be announced no later than June 17, 2011.
