Dear Friend,

As we celebrate National Hospice month in November, we are reminded of our community we care for, and for those who still are in need of support and comfort.  We are so grateful for the extraordinary generosity you have provided in the past, and we can't thank you enough for all that you do to change the lives of many as you support Hospice of the Valleys.  We never turn anyone away because of inability to pay and your gifts allow all to receive high quality care during their last days.

Below is a short sentiment from one of our treasured volunteers about his meaningful experience in caring for one of our patients:

"I have volunteered with Hospice for a number of years, and with my most recent patient, for about 5 years.  Up until about 6 months ago, we would see each other every week.  I would go to pick him up to go on an outing, and he would be waiting for me on the curb.  we would set out to do something fun each week --go out to breakfast, to the wine country, for walks, or to the pond.  With his Alzheimer's disease, he has declined and so now we mainly visit at his residence.  But our time together is still so special.  Seeing how happy my visits make him (and his family), is so rewarding.  To me, it's not much, but to them, it makes a huge difference.  Being with him feels right because we have become family."

Please consider a generous gift to Hospice of the Valleys this holiday season.  Your support will ensure that all patients and families in need receive compassionate hospice care.  Your gift will help us as we transition from using paper to electronic medical records which will allow our staff to devote even more quality time to caring for our patients and families.  Your generosity past and present has been key in improving the lives of our community friends and family during times of serious illness.

Since 1982, we have been committed to fostering reverence for life, relief in suffering and compassion in loss.  As the only non-profit hospice headquartered in Temecula Valley, Hospice of the Valleys is proud to give back to our local community and your impact makes a difference in all around us.

For your convenience, you can make a secure donation at 222.hospiceofthevalleys.org by clicking on the "Make a Donation" button on the site.

We wish you a beautiful and peaceful holiday season, and give thanks for your cherished partnership.

Sincerely,

Terry Azkoul

Executive Director
