Our Services

What is Hospice?

Hospice is a unique type of caring for those approaching the end of life. This concept of care focuses upon relieving pain, providing comfort, and increasing the quality of life of our patients. Hospice of the Valleys focuses upon the treatment of the whole person - body, mind, and spirit. You and your family will receive the support of a competent team of hospice professionals who will work with you to meet your needs and honor your wishes. This interdisciplinary team includes:

  • Your own physician
  • Our Hospice Medical Director
  • Registered and Licensed Visiting nurses
  • Certified Home Health Aides
  • Social Workers
  • Spiritual Care Providers
  • Bereavement Counselors
  • Dieticians, speech, physical and occupational therapists
  • Specially trained volunteers

Our hospice professionals will provide you and your loved ones exceptional and personalized care in the comfort and familiarity of your home, wherever that may be. Although hospice does not provide 'round-the-clock' care, you will have access to hospice care seven days a week and twenty four hours a day, and your hospice care includes durable medical equipment, medical supplies, medications, therapies, and wound care.
